West Valley Hospital Foundation Grants Scholarships

The West Valley Hospital Foundation announces that 24 students in medical or medically related fields will be receiving scholarships for the 2010–2011 school year.

A total of $23,500 in scholarships was awarded to Polk County residents pursuing degrees in nursing and a variety of other medically related programs.

The Foundation is a charitable organization that supports programs and services at West Valley Hospital. Its 15 member Board of Directors helps to raise funds and manage the resources of the Foundation.

Recipients for the 2010-2011 school year are:

Dallas: Hilary Broadus, Melody Burke, Katherine Dick, Kerry Green, Ellen Holton, Drew Morrison, Michelle Pulliam, and Darcie Russie.

Falls City: Walter Dawson.

Independence: Susana Cervantes, and Katie Muncrief.

Monmouth: Carie Cyphers, Jordan Huffman, Mary Pflaum, Scott Shane, Ashley Weins, and Chelsea Weins.

Rickreall: Tiffany Marx.

Salem: Chris Bell, Heather Boone, Eric Coughran, Rebecca Hibner, Kyle Lenz, and Hayley Steele.

This is the third year that the Foundation has awarded scholarships.
